Beautiful!Īnd last a few pictures from inside. Of course, I am a mamarazzi and had to snap a few photos before we ever made it in the cave! It was a beautiful day and couldn’t have been more perfect! We went to the caverns next! We had a 20 minute wait so we used that time to go potty and get a snack! We bought the girls a big bag of popcorn to share and that seemed to pass the time quickly. It was precious to watch them interact! We got to see HUGE rhinos and giraffes! My kids were not at all shy about feeding them either and thought that some of the animals where their “buddy” and “liked” them for it. You can see from some of the pictures that there were lots of animals and they were super friendly. They had so much fun doing this! I wish I could have bottled up the giggles! My hubby LOVED it as well. We didn’t even need a second drive around cause we saw so much the first time.We got there around 11 and opted to do the Safari first and we knew the kids would love seeing (and feeding) all of the animals. You can also drive thru as many times as you want as long as you don’t leave the park. You do pay an extra 3 bucks a person to feed the birds but that was worth It in my opinion as so many landed on us and my son loved It. The gibbons were so entertaining, as was the bird experience.

We also loved walking around after driving thru.
WILD RANCH SAFARI SAN ANTONIO WINDOWS
The ostriches were pretty hilarious, one pecked our windows when we rolled them up after he tried to stick entire head in the car! My five year old son got a kick out of this. We saw every animal listed on the map and many came right to our windows. The weather was cooler, low 60s, and the animals were active. We arrived at about 9:15 and I would definitely recommend being early, as we were one of the first cars to drive thru. Not all animals will eat It, but many do. The safari trek covers four miles and takes most visitors 1-2 hours. You can see more than 500 animals as you drive through 450 acres of rolling hills, creek beds, and live oak trees. We did buy animal food and I would say 1-2 bags is definitely worth It. Hours: 9 am 5 pm This Wildlife Ranch is consistently voted in the Top 10 Best Safari Parks in the nation. We decided to go to the safari during our stay in hill country and I’m so glad we did.

After a couple of spins through the ranch, stop at Safari Camp Grill for a burger, get dessert at Safari Sweet Shop and purchase some souvenirs at Safari Trading Post. And a lot of animals I've never heard of before, like an Addax, Watusi, Blesbok, Springbok, Emu, Gnu, Bongos and Gemsbok.

There's animals everywhere.white rhino, kangaroo, Bactrian camel, elk, gazelle, giraffe, llama, ostrich, antelope, wildebeest, zebra.
WILD RANCH SAFARI SAN ANTONIO FREE
Pick up free bag of food-you'll need more-and meander along the Safari Drive-Thru in your automobile or enjoy the Ranch Walk-a-Bout or let the kids experience the petting barnyard or relax at Lemur Island surrounded by a Koi Pond. Located at 26515 Natural Bridge Caverns Road and open from 9 to 5 daily,, this habitat covers 450 acres for more than 500 animals representing more than 40 species from every continent except Antarctica. Taking a hour-and-a-half drive through Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch in San Antonio, Texas, gives you a "King Solomon's Mines" feeling, where the wild animals are free to roam. On this occasion, our automobile was surrounded by a band of hungry zebras. This reminds me of the time my wife and I drove through Yellowstone National Park and were interrupted by bison who blocked the road.
